Global access control market is expected to reach 1.8 billion U.S. dollars

“The future of access control will be an integrated platform that is flexible, scalable and highly integrated. SaaS, network access and electronic cylinder locks will be at the forefront of the market,” said market analyst Blake Kozak.

“Integration is already a commonplace topic. Although the concept of integrating logical and physical access control has finally become a reality, especially in terms of medical services, it can protect the patient's medical records. At present, the real trends in the market are SaaS, network access control and electronic cylinder locks. The three combine to build an IP infrastructure,” added Kozak.

The network access control can be connected to a remote configuration or control the intranet through a separate internet access. For small businesses, access control using the network access control is more convenient and more affordable, and the market can continue to see the influx of SaaS and network access control. The shared similarity between the two methods is that they are all scalable and can reduce or eliminate the costs associated with PC-based systems. However, when network access control is used with SaaS, only PC-based software or network operating systems can be used. All settings, updates, and management need to be automated through the “cloud” rather than manual control.

“The network access control system will continue to gain market recognition, especially in those “ready-to-use” projects in the Americas.
